‘The Last Supper’ personal family portrait commission

The Last Supper painting by Leonardo da Vinci, was used as the reference for this piece of work. I was commissioned to replace the original faces of the painting with our own family, as well as additional minor tweaks to personalise the artwork. I used Adobe Photoshop to create the reference image for this piece, where I edited the original image of the last supper to make the changes that were required.

My oil paintings are developed from my own photographic reference and personal interpretation, as well as commissioned work that have been developed by request with photo reference provided by the client. In my work I explore composition, colour, and atmosphere while translating photographic source material into painted form, balancing realism with expressive painterly choices.
